Tiger Stripe camouflage originated during the Vietnam war and was a popular pattern for the units who could get their hands on them. It was never adopted as an official U.S. camouflage pattern but has earned its stripes as one of the most iconic camo patterns ever created. This is something we have been wanting to do for years but could never track down the pattern in 500d Cordura. Once it became available we pounced on the chance to make limited runs of Tiger Stripe for the following products:
Thank you SSD! First time I’ve been able to get one of their special patterns!
We finally anticipated demand well enough so as not to sell out in 5 minutes! That’s always the goal, but not always accomplished… Thanks for your business.
As much as I appreciate ltd. editions like that, it just bothers me as camo nerd that the pattern is vertical on some of those pictured items.
Would be interesting to know, if the fabric is digitally printed.
The realities of manufacturing dictate that half of the fabric would get thrown away if all pieces were laid out in a horizontal orientation. FWIW – there are those who prefer a mix of camo orientations because they believe it conceals better than a single orientation. Yes, the fabric is digitally printed – hence the hefty up charge over our solid color products.
