Salomon FORCES displayed their new models of popular tactical footwear. I chose two for sharing.
The X Ultra MID GTX FORCES is heavily based on Salomon’s best selling consumer mid hiking boots. For tactical customers, they increased the durability of the construction on the upper and added a flexible anti-puncture plate to the mid sole.
This boot is an extension of the Speed Assault 2 and Speed Cross 6 family of lighter, faster boots that are appropriate in and out of uniform and on the job.
The Quest 4D FORCES High GTX has all the performance features of the Quest 4 GTX but in an 8” version. Salomon’s Roland Beliveau related that our Northern European NATO partners and Canadian military have been asking us for a rugged 8” boot for quite some time. He also explained that the “EN” in the name means European Norm and the boot meets ISO standards for: Anti-Static, Anti-Puncture and Anti- Slip.
That’s what i’am talking about.. Great looking boots by Salomon.. Could you please upload the 2023 catalog? ??
Salomon we only want one thing from the Mids, fix the tongue so it doesn’t bend forward after the top lace.

Please know that all new production on the XA FORCES MID, that is arriving in 2023, has a re-designed tongue. The Quicklace now cinches from the top down much like the new Speed Assault 2. This should keep the tongue closer to the shin.

The X Ultra Forces above looks to be based on the civilian X Ultra 4. After really enjoying the X Ultra 2 and 3, I was disappointed in the 4. It seemed much lighter duty in terms of support and protection. I used these boots for hiking and work. I’m curious if this Forces version returns at all to the earlier formula.
Salomon can you please start making a size 14 generally across the board. Especially when it comes cold weather and alpine style boots – not sure why the TOUNDRA FORCES are not offered in 14, and then non-forces line of winter boots only have limited quantities of size 14 in stock and seem to never be in stock.

Salomon- please don’t adapt that contrasting color buckle piece (3rd eyelet up from toe) on the Quests that you’ve done on the non forces version. I was just about to buy some of the non-forces, and saw that change. I’m sure there was a reason for it, but it looks like a fashion/motorcycle boot buckle. I’ve worn Quests for years on and off duty, and this will stop my off duty purchasing. Maybe it’s just me. Love the Forces updates.
Any chance we’ll get more W I D E offerings? I had to Chinese food bind my feet for a year to fit in GTX Shoes, theres literally 1 Mid boot I can wear comfortably. Help us W I D E footed bois out Sillymon!
