BROUSSARD, LA. (April 18, 2023) – UNITY™ Tactical, a designer of components that integrate tactical systems and optimize the human factor, announced today the launch of RAXIS™, an in-line mount for the B.E. Meyers® MAWL®.
RAXIS™ rotates the axis of the traditional off-center position of the MAWL, bringing the laser up onto the M1913 rail and within the profile of the weapon’s receiver. While this mount is useful in other applications, it was designed specifically for MAWL users with a need to stow their weapon in tight spaces, such as between the seat and center console of a police car or in a rotary wing asset.
“This product was designed for a niche audience with a very specific need to be able to stow a rifle in a compact location, such as a helicopter cockpit,” said Mike Roth, VP of business development for UNITY Tactical. “We always aim to fill gaps when we see them; and we saw a need here for law enforcement and aviators alike. RAXIS™ is only available in black. It mounts directly to an M1913 rail and can be purchased either with a two cross bolt rail grabber or a FAST™ QD Lever. It retails for $125 and $165 respectively and is available for purchase now through authorized UNITY dealers and on UNITYtactical.com.
