    I am a part of a small, aggressive minority that routinely removed these clanky, rough, garbage-tier attachments from slings and other items and threw them straight in the trash. Running the strap back through the triglide is a far better solution than using these janky quick detach failboats. On guns? Lawd, have mercy. I too enjoy destroying my finish and making lotsa noise. Best is when the gate would pop open and dump the gun or spare barrel bag or whatever other heavy ass item involved.
