SSD, I realize this may be an obvious question, but is there anything else you can release at this time?
I assume it has an optimized follower, but how does this magazine counter the issue of EPR projectiles under recoil, metal insert on the interior?
Can’t wait to find out what they changed and if these fix the over insertion problem. I am betting they have a steel insert along the front lip.
So I take it the NGSW is still moving forward?
Yes. An infantry platoon from the 101st and a squad from 1st Ranger Batt conducted initial training and testing to provide feedback. The Army plans to fully field the XM7 and XM250 to a unit in the 101st for 2nd quarter FY2024. So, it should be in their hands by March-ish. I’m not sure of the size of the unit getting them “fully fielded”. I’m assuming a Brigade, but I’m not positive.
So this will put the current metal mags out of use that are made by a company of all handicap individuals?
The XM7 magazines are manufactured by SIG.
I wonder what the “w” after .277 Fury stands for?
Denotes a windowed magazine
Will it fit a standard M4 in 6.8 and where can I get one.
It’s not in 6.8 SPC, it’s in 6.8×51 aka.277 SIG Fury and you can’t get one. They haven’t released them.
