    I’m liking the idea for the protection of the plates. I think this will work well as an Active Shooter type plate carrier that can be kept in a patrol car.

    If this carrier is to be used as a standalone, how can a plate backer be attached/used with the plate holder? IIRC, ESAPIs and many other types of armor plates, are not stand alone. Has the plate backer idea been thought of?

    Also, what is the ballpark pricing for this item (if it can be released at this time)?

    Ugh, just get an S&S Plate Frame and you’ll be good.

    ESAPI’s are stand alone to their rating. Standard issue are level IV.
