During a ceremony on 24 November, 2015, officated by MG John Wharton, BG Thomas H Todd III assumed command of the Natick Soldier Systems Center from BG William Cole. BG Todd also serves as deputy commanding general of the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, or RDECOM, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

BG Todd comes to Natick from Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, where he was project manager, Utility Helicopters, Program Executive Office, Aviation. There, he led the UH-60M Black Hawk Program into a five-year multi-year contract, achieved program initiation approval for the Improved Turbine Engine Program and the H-60V Black Hawk Program, and fielded more than 500 UH/HH-60M and UH-72A aircraft to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Homeland Security and 35 international partners.

Wow, first time I’ve seen a General Officer wear a General Officer belt in years.
It’d be even better the GO’s are wearing their issued, specially polished and numbered General Officer sidearms. (And even more better if they were carrying loaded and ready!)
Last time I saw one of those was on MG Maher back in the 90’s.
That GO needs to drop some weight. Totally unsat.
Or drop the GO belts, either or.
Much has been said about maintaining a professional look of a uniformed US Army soldier. That photo pretty much goes against that.
Now, now. I’m sure they’ve done a lot of great service to their country. I remember seeing tons of GOs on the streets of Mosul.
They might well have. Not disputing that.
But those GO belts on the combat uniform is just wrong, sorry.
That was a joke.
It would also do well for the GO to get his hands into the proper position when standing at attention and pull his gut in and shoulders back to represent better posture.

Those belts would only look good if you tuck your blouse into your pants, like how the brits do. Anything else looks ridiculous.
We do that yes, unfortunately the jacket/shirt was designed to be worn untucked….they’ve now issued another top that is actually a shirt so we can tuck it in…
Saw some RAF personnel at the BX yesterday. Those with bloused trousers and tucked shirts looked sharp. Much sharper than the lone fat guy with unbloused trousers and an untucked shirt.
Maybe he retires soon as has 0 cares left to give? 😉
Do they even make those General Officer belts in anything smaller than XL ?
