There was a hidden gem in the Magpul booth. The Happy Claymore Bag is the result of the CORE team attempting to make a better bag for the M18A1 Claymore Mine. I don’t know what I like more, the smiley face at the front of the bag, the instructions and illustrations, or the actual functionality itself.
The bag opens up to expose a large sheet, similar to a rope bag which includes the instructions. This also makes it a good choice for an SSE bag. Open it up, place it on a flat surface, throw items of interest on the sheet, grab the four corners and all the loot slides into the bag. Of course, as you can see, the Happy Claymore Bag has lots of other uses as well.

April fools came early this year! Would love to see this come to market just for the humor alone.

How the market will actually perceive this ‘product’ will be interesting to see when it finally hits the shelves.
Gary, have you had your sense of humor surgically removed or what? Seems a little harsh to put quotes around “product” when it’s literally a bag. The functionality is there. A little humor doesn’t magically make it any less able to carry shit.

MAGPUL abandoned their “Made in USA” sales pitch with the introduction of their “Made in (Communist) Vietnam” Core gloves. Seems the more successful an American company becomes the more they abandon their principle pf employing American workers. Then, companies like MAGPUL, become ever more greedy and import product made by slave labor for consumption by their beloved and ignorant fellow, unemployed, Americans to buy at outrageously inflated prices.
A “Claymore” bag by MAGPUL. How ironic. Claymore mines that sent many NVA to meet their maker. Now an American company makes cutesy with reference to a device with a bag, most likely made in Vietnam. Same as their line of gloves.
Seems to me the referenced happiness by MAGPUL is that the joke is on Americans.

I want the SSE/foraging sheet. Any word on that being sold as standalone? and if its water proof/resistant?
It’s connected to the mouth of the bag. You grab the corners and it all funnels into the bag, like a rope bag. It’s not waterproof.
