Well, it’s been put to good use, in some of the most extreme environments in earth.
An Alaska Air National Guardsman from the 212th Rescue Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, watches the jumpmaster prior to jumping out of a C-17 Globemaster III flown by the 249th Airlift Squadron onto the U.S. Navy’s Ice Camp Sargo in the Arctic Circle in support of Ice Exercise 2016, March 15, 2016. The two squadrons worked together to airdrop 10 PJs, two Alaska National Guard Soldiers and a 9,500-pound arctic sustainment package to the camp. ICEX is a joint-force exercise which allows multiple military branches to assess readiness in the arctic, increase operation experience in the region, develop partnerships and collaborative efforts, and advance understanding of the arctic environment. Finally some is jumping a ram-air chute with a static line. This makes me very happy!

How about we say ‘fuck Gawker’ and just go to DVIDS. https://www.dvidshub.net/image/2470334/icex-2016#.VvCTWEX3anM
Foxtrot Alpha is actually pretty good, even if it is part of Gawker. It used to be really good but it’s slipped a bit since it started getting cross promoted on other Gawker sites and started attracting idiot Gakwer commentors and Putin-bots. Stupid commentors aside, the actual articles are very good and often quite informative.
I have no interest in paying Gawker’s court awards to Hulk Hogan.
Canadian Forces SARTECHs wear orange Arc’Teryx too
+1
Sorry but dude in the blue should totally be rocking a Cobra Command patch. He looks just like an 80’s GI Joe/Cobra figure. Hes jumping into the Artic which happens to also totally be a place contestef by Joe and Cobra.
