The SI Ballistic Shock Tube was released in May. It is a low-profile, high wrap, ballistic eyewear that will be submitted to APEL next year.
Think of it as a ballistic alternative to the Racing Jacket which is popular in motorsports. It features a removable lower jaw that was designed for improved lens retention. The ear stems were also thinned down for wear with ear pro.

If this is an alternative does that mean it takes the same lenses as the Racing Jacket and Jawbone? If so, YESSSS!!!!! That black is mine!
I wanted to follow up on this. According to Oakley, the lenses will NOT work with the Shocktubes.
I’m presuming that “not landed” is autocorrect for something like “nominated for submission to APEL next year”?
But yes, like, especially for the absence of rubber nose and ear pieces that my sweat will melt.
Different strokes. I switched to Native Eyewear because of that absence.
If only Oakley came out with these earlier. I wear the Smith Tactical Director because I don’t like the shape of the SI Det Cords.
