HERA Arms CQR AR Stock And Forward Grip

Coming to a Deux Ex sequel near you

This unique stock and foregrip combination has been making the rounds across the internet, and to be honest it’s a bit mall ninja-ish, but at the same time it also manages to be really damn cool. Like, I need to make a ‘for fun’ build out of these parts cool. Ghost In The Shell, Shadowrun, cyberpunk cool, if I may be so bold.

The two components are called the CQR Stock and CQR Front Grip, and are the creation of Germany-based HERA Arms, a company which specializes in manufacturing weapons and weapons accessories. Utah-based LAN World is the current importer of HERA Arms components into the USA, and supposedly they’ll be offering the CQR parts in the coming months. I, assuredly like many others, eagerly await their availability.

commiefornia

They’re also making a Commiefornia compliant version, so if you have to neuter your rifle, at least it can be done in relative style.

I have to agree, it is very mall ninja-ish, but if they made them for .308 receivers and with a cheek riser, I see a lot of potential for precision ARs.
Straight line stock, the lines look perfect for a stock sock too.

  2. kris says:

    Is it NY legal?

    • Rokka says:

Nothing is legal in the DPRNYistan comrade.

    • Russell says:

Nope, thumbhole stocks are banned mate. Otherwise this would be 100% better than the current shit options.

      • Dennis says:

The ca version shown on the dmr (the one with the thumbhole filler plate) is NY safe act compliant. Provided No flash hider or bayonet lug, Because the governor does not want us in the empire state to bayonet charge anyone. . . .

  3. Riceball says:

I rather like, it’s probably the best looking featureless AR that I’ve seen yet. I hope that more people come out with stocks like this for CA so that we have more options for next year.

  4. just a civie says:

Totally mall ninja ish, but at the same time totally bad a#$!!!!!!! I am tired of looking at “regular AR’s”. Shut up and take my money!

  5. Mike says:

+1 for Shadowrun. I have a few “mall ninja” builds purely because they look like something from Shadowrun. The KPOS’d P220 with no stock, angled foregrip, and an Aimpoint? Because Shadowrun.

  6. D says:

I think one day all AR’s will have stocks like this and we’ll say, “Thanks, California”.

    • Riceball says:

Which one, the one on top or the one on the bottom? The one on top is nothing special and will soon be illegal in CA unless the rifle gets registered as an AW. The one on the bottom is the one that’s CA compliant and as far as featureless stocks, it’s not too bad, in my opinion.

    • Gerard says:

Draw a line in the sand against meaningless gun restrictions, its not trational ARs we deserve to own but actual M4s

  7. Bill says:

Why Mall Ninjaish? There once was a time when people festooned their firearm with all manner of useless accoutrements. Schnabel tips, Mannlicher stocks (I have seven rifles with them), flared pistol grips, German silver caps, none of it really did anything but it made the guns look nice. This is an easy way for someone to make their gun look different without losing functionality.

    I say rock it.

    • BillC says:

Don’t forget expensive, but useless, engravings purely because a person could afford to.

  8. JKifer says:

all I see is an AR turned to look like an FN-P90…. not trashing it, just saying..

  9. CWG says:

I wanna know about the slim master key SG on their gun pics with no links or info

  10. Craig says:

IDGAFF what others say about it, I want it. The top one that is.

  11. kemp says:

love the futuristic design of these. LOP looks a bit long though.

  12. Disco says:

The Major wants me to have this.

    I don’t care….gonna get it. Hate away.

  13. ThatBlueFalcon says:

I want the stock in the top. Always been a sucker for SciFi concept art rifles, and that with the appropriate lower and handguard could look the business. I’ve got enough rifles that are built to spec, one or two goofy ones is never bad for the soul.

  14. Roy Woodall says:

Finally we can get a “phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range” before the end of the world.

    • Greg says:

Sometimes, I wonder if the crazy “Ban lead ammunition” legislation talk, would be the thing that spurs on plasma weapon technology, just to get around the lead ammo ban.
