Last week, we told you about the Dyneema Tegris Kit System “Ripper” Plate Carrier by HonorPoint USA. In that story we mentioned that there was a chest rig as well. This is it.
The Chest Rig is laser cut with a complete front and back, incorporating an adjustable cummerbund.
Their magazine pouches are available in both covered and speed draw type. The side accessory pouch is sized large enough to accommodate a Glock 19. They also offer a radio pouch for the AN/PRC-152 and NVDs.
Made of Dyneema Composite Fabric which offers toughness, air permeability, low and high temperature operating capability, UV/IR Protection, and waterproof properties. Additionally, it is laminated for FR requirements.

Interesting approach to a chest rig…LBT used a similar concept many years ago that looked like a plate carrier but didn’t hold plates…I’m lost as to why they decided to use the side closure the way they did…it seems like lost real estate.
I also wonder how stable that 1″ connection is when you have stuff in the side pockets.
This is a lightweight hydrophobic rig weighing in at less then 1.5 lbs with all pouches. Ripper is a minimalist tech system… its the opposite of “the bigger bag the better”, give someone a big bag they just put more shit in it. Ripper systems like the chest rig are for specific mission such as VBSS, under garments… the 1×1″ closure works great with the unique design of Ripper system. Less is more truly more and more to come on the cummerbund in the near future.
Oh yes and amphibious ops.
Air permeability? Through a multi layer laminate? is the face an uncoated cordura of some kind? Now I’m even more curious.
My experience with vests of this style is that without plates to stiffen them they tend to sag and creep in funny ways unless properly counterbalanced. I wonder If they found a solution or if they are just expecting lots of rear mounted items.
