At only 8.75” in length and 17 ounces, the new NX8 1-8×24 F is optimized for short and mid-range shooting.
With the daylight visible center red dot users can engage targets with speed like a red-dot sight, but as targets increase in distance the intelligent FC-Mil and FC-MOA first focal plane reticles provide precise hold points. For those preferring to dial for long shots, the ZeroStop elevation adjustment allows for a rapid and positive return to zero. Adjustments are a true .2 Mil-Radian or .50 MOA. To aid in fast magnification adjustments, a built-in Power Throw Lever (PTL) is included. Ot is a first focal plane optic and has a fixed parallax at 125 meters. Brightness adjustments also feature “Off” settings in between the adjustment levels.

With frank proctor retiring his NF 1-4, 10 bucks says this is his new optic. Nicely done nightforce, at 17 ounces makes me want to lose my vortex if my wallet can handle it.
Yes. Price point will be an issue for most, but this scope is the face of the next 10 years. Everyone will be chasing it, and trying to shave a few bucks off of it.
NX8 1-8x = $17xx.00. Give or take 20 bucks.
I shoot a Steiner P4xi 1-4x (great scope btw) and love it because along with having great glass, it’s one of the shorter and lighter 1-4x scopes on the market. The NX8 is 1.5 inches SHORTER and .3oz lighter than the Steiner and is a 1-8x FFP scope. Insane. Definitely on my shortlist.
I knew these scopes were coming and had hoped to see Vortex release a 1-8X version of their Razor HD II as well to compete. Instead, Vortex announces a “lightweight” version of the Razor 1-6 that is still half a pound heavier than the NX8 1-8x. I love me some Vortex but man did they miss the boat on this one.
EuroOptics will receive their first shipment next week, $1715 out the door.
Ffp in a lpo?
No thanks
Why not? If you’ve got a daylight bright dot on 1x, who cares what focal plane the reticle is on?
I’ll be interested to hear more about it from end users and how it compares, pros/cons, to the Trijicon Accupoint 1-8 which is a 34mm tube optic, by the way.
The compact package is appealing, to be sure.
