Revision Introduces New Shadowstrike – The Anti-Fog Ballistic Sunglasses

Essex Junction, Vermont (January 17, 2018) – Revision Military, the world leader in protective eyewear and integrated soldier solutions, introduces the company’s new ShadowStrike™ Tactical Ballistic Sunglasses. This new sunglasses line features Revision’s premium OcuMax™ Plus coating–for superior anti-fog and scratch resistance–along with a novel nosepiece mechanism to easily swap the lenses. Revision designed and developed the ShadowStrike Sunglasses to exceed U.S. Military ballistic protection standards. ShadowStrike Sunglasses are available for purchase now.

“Though Revision has grown considerably in recent years–now incorporating advanced helmet systems, power management solutions, and tactical communications headsets–protective eyewear remains a critical part of our business,” said Jonathan Blanshay, CEO, Revision Military. “The new ShadowStrike Ballistic Sunglasses represent our continued innovation on this front. While Revision was founded on protective eyewear for military use, our spectacles, goggles, and sunglasses are now used by tactical officers, law enforcement, and special operators all over the world. The many strides that Revision has made in protective eyewear are baked into the ShadowStrike line: these sunglasses are tailored to a wide range of mission profiles; feature our leading anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings; are built for integration and comfort; and, most importantly, offer incomparable protection.”

ShadowStrike Sunglasses have a sharp, geometrical wraparound design that provides unobstructed field-of-vision and ballistic protection for fast-paced tactical, special ops, and military operations. Angular frames and a tighter curvature give this line a distinctive look while maximizing protection–fitting squarely, securely, and comfortably at all times, for any mission. With optical-grade, polycarbonate lenses, ShadowStrike Sunglasses provide the impact resistance Revision eyewear is known for, exceeding U.S. military eyewear ballistic requirements. From inception, ShadowStrike Sunglasses were designed and optimized to exceed the rigorous standards of the U.S. Army’s Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL) and will be submitted for inclusion for the 2019 APEL program.

The nosepiece mechanism, engineered specifically for this eyewear line, makes changing out the dual lenses quick and easy. This eyewear provides 100% UV-A-B-C ultraviolet protection and features Revision’s leading OcuMax Plus anti-fog and anti-scratch coating, preventing the close-fit sunglasses from fogging and ensuring clear, unimpeded vision during any outing.

The ShadowStrike Sunglasses will initially be offered in black frames with a variety of lens color options for various light conditions. A standard two lens kit (solar and clear lenses) will retail for an MSRP of $115.00 USD. Additional frame colors and lens options will be released later this year. I really cant count the amount of anti fog ballistic glasses I used within my life time that have all been proven to be foggy after shit went down. Especially when wearing shemags, balaclavas or other garments around your mouth they become unusable.

We deal with this a lot with safety glasses as well. If I remember correctly, there are two different types of anti-fog treatments and ideally you want to get both of them for the best performance. Also, anti-fog can be rubbed off over time, so if you have to clean your glasses a lot you will end up seeing reduced performance. Try using “Cat Crap” on your lenses once the factory anti-fog wears off, it is good stuff.
