I am in Nurnberg Germany doing IWA stuff and got a preview of a promotional video for FK BRNO’s PSD, their new Polymer, Multi Caliber Pistol, making its debut here at the show. In addition to the bottle neck 7.5 FK round, caliber changes to both 9mm and 10mm are as simple as a barrel swap
Right now, I’m only able to share these two images but I’ll get a lot more information once the show opens on Friday.
What are you really going to like is the price. Their all steel field pistol goes for about $7500, while this new Polymer version will retail somewhere around $2000.

The all steel field pistol they make, not pictured here, costs $7500. This pistol is $2,000. Yes that is a decent chunk of change, but seeing a $5,500 price reduction doesn’t suck.
Quoting for emphasis:

It is not a savings through price reduction if it is a product that you don’t need.

So I can buy 3 polymer one of each caliber and still be cheaper than one steel pistol!?!
Interesting; but hard to get past the $2k for a poly-gun.
If it comes with barrels for all the calibers, it would be a decent value, but I just don’t see that happening.
$2K for Pistol, 2 barrels and 4 mags… 7.5 FK and 9mm….
Should come with a full set of barrels and magazines at that price. And 7,62 Tok, 9 mm Dillon and .357 SIG. Multi-caliber means really multiple calibers. 😉
The point wasn’t to offer a bunch of calibers nobody will buy. You ought to be happy they introduced 10mm.

I’m hoping the 7.5 fk catches on, as it’s a very impressive cartridge. It essentially duplicates the .30 Carbine from an 18″ M1 Carbine, but out of a 6″ barrel. 103gr 0.16 G1 @ 2,000fps.
I think it would be a fantastic PDW caliber; and upsized B&T MP9 in 7.5 would be very compelling. Or, something like a USW Grip frame for the new polymer 7.5 pistol.
I wonder if metal magazines for the Glock 20/40 would allow enough COL to convert them to 7.5?
Indeed. I’d also love to see what this thing does out of, say, an 8″ SMG barrel.
If Sig ever makes those MPX conversion kits… Man.
The old adage: A pretty or expensive gun DOES NOT make you a better shooter or a better fighter. This is a scam, plain and simple. If somebody is willing to spend 7.5K in a tool, that moron deserves to be scammed. Even a 2k pistol is way to expensive. Gunfights are won not by the guy with the fanciest of the weapons, but by the guy with better fighting skills. Unbelievable!
7,5 FK brings something new to the table. Question is, if it is really worth it.
I particularly enjoyed the 20 mm barrel although it was a difficult fit .I found it to be very efficient
