Enforce Tac 19 – Marom Dolphin Developed New Dutch Load Carriage

Although Israeli company Marom Dolphin has introduced a new modular load carriage system called Fusion, they spent several years working on load carriage under system integrator Elbit, for the Dutch military’s Verbeterd Operationeel Soldaten Systeem or in English, Improved Operational Soldier System.

In their booth at Enforce Tac Marom Dolphin showed examples of the gear in the Netherlands Fractal Pattern which has just begun fielding. Although the items were developed by Marom Dolphin in conjunction with the Dutch Army, the tech data package has been transferred and they’ll be manufactured by other companies.

….manufactured by other companies…. and that’s when the problems start

I was told by another member here that the Dutch are going with nicer kit than the old Arwy packs and pouches. Better quality stuff in general.

Arwy is not to blame for bad quality, I believe that the reduced quality is a consequence of budget cuts.

For instance, the older backpacks from Arwy which I got issued (in 2013) is fine and very much comparable to the originals from Lowe Alpine (which I own too). The newer ones aren’t, obviously.

Also the coyote stuff made for Kmarns by Arwy is well made and on par with any high end brand. They use proper stitching, heavy weight cordura for these products.

The DPM pouches which are currently issued are a completely different story 😉
