My friend Dan Matsuda has been a gear designer for decades. He recently whipped up this day pack using an Ikea tote.

Fantastic. Someone needs to summit K2 wearing one of these and do the approach in a larger one, maybe give Mr. Matsuda 4-5 totes to make a big 70-80L pack….way too much complexity and marketing hype in the backpack industry.
