Crye Precision Announces G4 Hot Weather and FR Uniforms Now Available

Brooklyn, NY – Crye Precision®, one of the leading suppliers of uniforms and personal equipment to the military, law enforcement and public safety markets, has announced the availability of their G4 Hot Weather Uniforms and G4 FR Uniforms for purchase through their website, www.cryeprecision.com.

The G4 Hot Weather Uniforms are Crye Precision’s® lightest, most breathable uniforms to date. These garments incorporate attributes requested directly by users, built on a base-pattern designed to offer more mobility, a more custom fit and improved features. The G4 Hot Weather Field uniform is designed specifically for the demands of harsh jungle environments and the Combat line created for austere arid operations. Our G4 uniforms now offer even more to end users.

Further expanding the G4 uniform system is the release of the G4 FR Uniforms, made with High Strength Commando Twill, providing lightweight FR protection with a high strength-to-weight ratio. The fabric quickly self-extinguishes and maintains 8.5 times higher air permeability and faster dry time than 50/50 NYCO. Combined with the already extensive feature set of the G4 line, the FR uniforms are Crye Precision’s® most technically advanced apparel pieces to date.

Each of the uniforms are now available for purchase through the company’s website, www.cryeprecision.com.

Going to be interesting to see what user feedback on those exposed buttons will be. We went through this once before in a little old place called Vietnam…

I was an Infantryman in Panama for four years. The exposed buttons is a TERRIBLE idea. There’s no way I would wear this in the jungle without covering the buttons. Remember how camo nets would catch on the sleeve buttons of our BDUs? The jungle will make this uniform (buttons) look like a pirate eating peanuts in a clown suit.

      • Strike-Hold says:

Yup. I told Greg Thompson this at SOFIC 3 years ago. He said an end-user organization had asked for them like this…. Okay, good luck with that.

    • Adun says:

Not to mention that exposed buttons will eventually become brittle due to UV damage and be more likely to break.

Came here to post this but you beat me to it. Who the heck thinks exposed buttons are a good idea?

      Unfathomable … seriously.

      • Seamus says:

Those are standard USGI 4-hole buttons which are very weak. Canada has a 2-slot flat button that is much stronger. They are made for extreme cold and the 2-slot allows for a thin and strong piece of webbing instead of a bunch of sewing thread. The plastic is not as thin between the slots as it is between the holes on the USGI button. For a shirt that will cost $264 and with as much thought and effort that goes into every stitch and cut, the least we could get is better buttons.

I would love to see G3 uniforms offered in FR. They released the G2 and now the G4 in FR, how about we see it in the uniform with the best cut and pocket design?
