They have a nsn? Been wanting to ditch my peltors for a while.
Yes, all of our products have NSN’s and are also on GSA.
These, Peltor, or Otto?
I can only find one head-to-head on the internet, with the Peltors and Ottos, and it is inconclusive.
When you consider the main difference in function between $300 3M tactical ear plugs and $50 mpow wireless earbuds is software, it’s only a matter of time before this sort of technology becomes a cheap commodity.
The only reason why every grunt doesn’t have one as standard issue is because passive plugs are $0.50 each, electronic earpro is $100+, and hearing loss disability payments comes out of VA pockets not big Army.
If the army was smart, they’d ditch suppressors on NGSW and issue comms integrated electronic ear pro to every soldier. The gun you’re firing isn’t the only loud noise on the battlefield.
From what I’ve been seeing the suppressors on the NGSW are more about signature suppression (flash/muzzle blast) than sound suppression.
