Oh, finally not something designed by geeks for geeks who enjoy fiddling with their equipment (programming modes, switching between them with a single button) rather than using it.
I despise having to learn Morse code to use all the multi function switches that are out there.
They had me, right up to the propriety battery pack.
There’s nothing proprietary about 18650’s.
It appears to be just a fancy name for their version of the protected 18650 cell with a USB charging option. If that’s correct, there’s nothing proprietary about it. Fenix has the same thing ARB-L18-3500U. Yes, you can’t feed it with an AA or CR123.
Not covered awesome fact: Drops in to your existing Stinger series charger!
Really great UI for normal people.
I’ve tried to teach my parents multiple times how to use a traditional, tailcap activated multi mode flashlight, and they could never figure it out / remember it. The result was that they were using the light exclusively in either Moonlight (“this flashlight is so dim”) or Turbo (“the batteries never last on this flashlight”).
The “Game Winner” attribute of this product: it drops in to your existing Stinger / PolyStinger chargers.
Search for retailers that are offering the light with batteries only, you’ll be able to buy the upgraded product and save on the charger / cradle.
We’ll be offering them in this configuration as soon as our shipment arrives!
