Magpul is rife with Marine Aviators so it was only a matter of time before they insisted that the company introduce aviator-style sunglasses named after the Great Santini.
These polarized wireframe sunglasses offer solid ballistic protection for additional safety and the oleophobic lenses stay cleaner longer and comfortably fit most faces.
How do these compare to the Randolph sunglasses they used to issue to army aviators?
I wouldn’t want polarized lenses in a cockpit though especially with the modern avionics.
Hi Bob, the eye glasses featured here have straight temples, where as the original aviators you made mention of swoop downward behind the ears like most.
It’s more of a comfort thing / personal preference.
That’s the biggest difference.
