SMU is an acronym for “Special Make Up” which is a custom run, not included in the standard lineup, but generally based on an in-line item.
I have one and if you like anoraks, you will love this one. Sizing is directly from the outdoor version of the Anorak, so if you want some extra room, go up a size.

I bought this before from US Elite and it is a fine garment, but….
Only the cool kids can buy Arcteryx LEAF now. Their company, their rules.
I have never read a good explanation for this change in policy but my speculation is that overall LEAF sales are vastly less than in the past and Arcteryx is simply not investing or producing as much in their LEAF line. The level of innovation in LEAF products seems to be at a minimal level as well.
