LOS ANGELES (25 September 2026) — Anduril, a US defense technology company building autonomous systems and command and control software, and ORIGIN, a defense technology company building autonomous unmanned aerial systems, have agreed to explore how their technologies could work together to strengthen the deterrence posture of NATO’s eastern flank. Under the memorandum of understanding, they will explore the integration of Anduril’s Lattice software platform with BLAZE, ORIGIN’s autonomous counter-drone interceptor, to offer a layered counter-UAS capability in support of Latvia’s air defense. The MoU was signed during a Latvian business trade mission organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) as part of the official visit by the President of Latvia, Edgars Rink?vi?s, to the United States.
Lattice is Anduril’s software platform for fusing data from disparate sensors and unmanned systems into a single layer, giving operators real-time visibility across a battlefield and the ability to task connected assets such as sensors and vehicles. Under the MoU, ORIGIN and Anduril will explore how BLAZE connects into that layer alongside deployed radars and other sensors, working toward a concept of operations for counter-UAS missions.
The two companies have agreed to joint testing, demonstration and validation activity in Latvia, alongside concept of operations development, data sharing and mission-effectiveness assessment for counter-UAS profiles. For end users, the collaboration points toward interceptors that do not operate in isolation from wider defense infrastructure. As threats become more networked, systems that can plug into a shared command and control layer are becoming a requirement rather than an advantage for operators assembling holistic air defense capabilities.

The MoU between ORIGIN and Anduril was signed as an outcome of a Latvian business trade mission to the United States, organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and taking place alongside the President’s official visit. The mission runs through 27 September and covers New York, Los Angeles and San Diego, bringing together representatives of companies and organisations across four sector tracks, including defense and dual-use technologies.
