Still no down select announcement for the Camouflage Improvement Effort from the Army and they won’t answer, let alone acknowledge, our emails.
Perhaps it will be tomorrow.

If they do it tomorrow, they have a two day buffer if anyone feels like complaining.
Thanks for staying on this!
And you are surprised by this? They are going to delay this as much as they possibly can, so they have more time to develop their version of the story on how and why they selected the patterns that they did.
Friday email will go our around 1630. They will hit the send button as they are walking out the door; that is unless the base commander initiates the :59 minute rule.
I KNOWWWWWWWW.
*waits impatiently*
Yeah, right…
On a brighter note, at least the Seabees have some spiffy new camo threads to wear while building airstrips, harbors, FOBs and improving beaches – you know, all the places where you REALLY need a camo uniform! LOL. And it will hide the sea-men’s stains better than the old stuff too…
They are now a dime a dozen here at the beach.
P.S. meant to include this link: http://www.vcstar.com/news/2011/dec/14/nmcb-40-first-battalion-to-wear-navys-new/
Perhaps AOR shined through as an end all be all and they are just wondering how to word the statement. Very bad pun by the way.
Roggenwolf, Digital Concealment, Hyde Definition. That’s too bad as they have some great patterns. It also makes me leery of the downselect results.
Well, let’s see what comes of this.
Hark I hear the sound of feet shuffling, excuse making, and whole lot ass covering…Merry F***king Christmas!
Everyone knows its going to be ACUs but with a sewn on pt belt
We’ve wated 3 long years to get the info we need, I think we can wait just a day or two longer won’t be bad they say waiting does the senses good or something like that.
Once they down select, field trials begin.
Did the US Navy borrow those cams from the ANA?!?!
I’d still rather have those than the ACUs. At least the Navy’s camo has some colors that occur in nature, unlike the bluish ACUs.
