What if a Bump Helmet and a Watch Cap Made a Baby?

Why they’d make a Crasche hat. its designed for children and adults who should wear a helmet, but don’t.

The outer cap is 100% Acrylic which isn’t exactly the perfect material for tactical applications but it ought to get someone’s creative juices flowing. The key to the Crasche hat are the protective inserts which protect your head against impact. The outer layer of the inserts are composed of an extremely strong polycarbonate plastic, the same material used to make bulletproof glass. The inner layers are composed of neoprene rubber, the same skin friendly material used in making wet suits. The inner layer of neoprene rubber has trapped air in the rubber itself, and the larger air chambers. These air chambers help cushion the impact, and help spread the force of the impact over the entire protective insert.

Why haven’t we seen this before?

This is one of those things that’s so obvious, that one wonders why it hasn’t been invented decades before 🙂

Does this mean fragment or impact resistant boonies?

that’s pretty cool. I’d like to see the ball cap they mentioned.

This is one of the best new pieces of gear that I have seen in awhile.. very innovative!

Ball cap is on the home page, “coming soon.” Looks dead conventional. Those pads may be sized differently, but for sure, it would look better than washed out, shrunk up and wrinkled – at work.

Attention: Crashe: this needs to be marketed to Xtreme Mechanix who work under cars on lifts. Fire retardant cap would be great for muffler guys, too.

    Just do it. 🙂

    Reminds me of this product.
Seeing a comparison test would be neat.
