Not sure how to say “booger hook” in Russian…?…
At least the safety is on. Not like Feinstein.

โOld Guyโ is Mikhail Kalashnikov, the man who designed the rifle.
*whoosh* that is the sound of you not getting it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm
You’re just not very good at being funny.
Be funny if that turned out to be a Norinco Legend…yesh I know the wood aint pretty enough.
I know what you want us to say:”Trigger dicipline duh!” ๐
Get Eric Bana to say “This is my safety” in russian of course.
Could be worse; at least its on safe?
The man man that changed the world.
That’s not Hugo Schmeisser.
Should be Putin Holding it Riding a Tiger ๐ Now that would be cool…
“?????? ????? ?????????? ?????”
(“say hello to my little friend”)
hmmmm… apparently SSD doesnt like cyrillic script lol
It’s not me, it’s those Anglophiles at WordPress.
You can always use online transliteration:
pozdorovat’sja s moim malen’kim drugom
(โsay hello to my little friendโ)
“Hello little friend.”
I’m not a big fan of the AK, the controls and aesthetics are big turn offs for me. I do think its important to recognize what the AK is and how its effected the industry. That being said i believe that “old guy” is the owner of Kalashnikov (or something along that lines)
“Old Guy” is Mikhail Kalashnikov, the man who designed the rifle.
Da. Is difference between engineer and end user.
Not just an engineer, an end user too. The man is a combat vet of the early part of the German invasion of Russia.
My name is Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov, and I care not about your trigger discipline. Why you ask? Because over 100 million AK-47 rifles have been produced!
And that’s not the unique case:
http://www.gazeta.lv/images/Kalashnikov_M_T.jpg same handling
http://vesti.kz/userdata/7f1c446a16ececbf582c27a8a7224c63.jpg firing mode selector in non-automatic position
http://savepic.su/1008249.jpg one more
http://www.bharatdefencekavach.com/bharatdefence_cms/newsimages/image/00000002012year/00000001/AK47inv.jpg again.
So it’s possible to find his portraits holding the AK in safe way (left hand on the narrow “neck” of stock) but non-safe variant could be seen at least in a half ow his portraits with firearms.
“In Soviet Russia, Trigger discipline you!”
Ha!! Love it!!
LOL brilliant.
Cyrillic:
????????? ???? ????? ???? ????? ????????????? ??????
Non-Cyrillic:
sokhranit’ vashi Buger kryuk proch’ pereklyuchatel’ vzryva
English:
keep your booger hook off of the bang switch
Disappointed Cyrillic didn’t come through. Would be cool to stamp on a receiver….
“Yo dawg, I heard you like Kalasknikovs…”
Where’s the Vodka?
Get your booger-hook off the bang switch!
…at least the safety’s on…
*runs and hides*
Opulence, I has it, I like da best… This one, but I also like saving das money so when direct TV tells me five months free most premium channel package… I jump in it.

17 days from now; I’d say Happy 94th birthday!

“Weapon pointed in safe direction, toward decadent western capitalist, have nice day.”
-Comrade Kalashnikov
I highly recommend the book, “The Gun” by C.J. Chivers. The backstory to all this (and the M-16) is utterly fascinating.
“…And that kiddies is your kindly Uncle Mikhail. He’s responsible for arming the world, along with your sweet Uncle Eugene.”
I initially thought that was Boris Yeltsin, so the significance of the photo was lost on me.
“Is good enough for your Clint Eastwood.”
“I don’t always design ubiquidous firearms, but when I do, it is highly derivative of enemy weapon systems.”
Someone please just photoshop his finger straight so we can all move on. ;-0
“I don’t always shoot guns, but when I do; its Dos-AK’s”
Crappy pun.. ๐
Actually, a pretty good one. You almost made scotch come out my nose.
Yo dog, we heard you liked Kalashnikovs…
ABTOMAT!
