This is a news website and we publish items we consider newsworthy. Some are press releases, others are written by a handful of others. It is apparently quite difficult for many of you to comprehend that an article on SSD is not an endorsement by our editorial staff. It’s just news folks. Furthermore, articles published on the site are not paid for. Alternatively, we have some great advertisers, who offer fantastic products and services. You should support them.

As far as current comments go; we don’t care if you can’t afford it, shipping is too high, it’s made in the wrong country, the flat bill bill your ass look fat, they donated to the wrong party, said something that hurt your poor little feelings, or the person who owns the company has the wrong skin color to suit you.

The past few weeks have been eye-opening. It’s quite sobering as conservatives to find that those who claim to be on the same side as you promote political violence and a desire to deny civil liberties to others.

We will not provide a platform for those who wish to anonymously further divide our society, cast aspersions on others, or promote hate.

Consequently, we are considering closing the comments section of our posts completely. Until then, keep it civil and pretend the person you are responding to is sitting across the table. And, don’t make accusations about someone else if you aren’t going to share your true name and location with the class.

The SIG SAUER M400 SWITCHBLADE is an aluminum frame rifle caliber pistol featuring a Cerakote Titanium Elite finish, with a telescoping MAGPUL™ BSL Brace, an 11.5” cold hammer-forged carbon steel tapered barrel for easy suppressor installation with a three-prong flash hider, and a rigid free-floating handguard with M-LOK™ accessory rail that installs with a clamp system and designed to eliminate deflection from the added weight of accessory installation. The pistol offers fully ambidextrous controls including the bolt catch, charging handle, and selector switch, has a 2-stage Matchlite Duo Trigger, and comes optics-ready. Soldier Systems Daily; it all started with a redeye flight from San Diego to Norfolk and a copy of Wired magazine. I had wanted to start writing again and there was this article on the rivalry between tech blogs Gizmodo and Endgadget. I learned that a blog could be about something tangible and decided to use the format. Not long after, SSD was born. It started as a means to keep me off the streets at night, but within a year became a full time job. I’m so grateful to be able to do something I love.

Earlier this week we hit our 13th year of existence, publishing a daily website. Naturally, hard at work publishing daily, we missed the anniversary. So here we are, patting ourselves on the back a few days late.

We’ve been fortunate to outlast most of the competition and the past 14 months of “just 14 days to flatten the curve,” have made it tough. But the truth is, we wouldn’t exist without our loyal readers and fantastic advertisers. Many of them are small business owners, feeling the pinch of these tough times like everyone else.
