Nike to Introduce SFB2

Saturday, January 11th, 2014

According to a photo posted by Airsoft Outlet Northwest, which is right down the road from the Nike campus, Nike will be introducing the SFB2 on 31 January.

I can see a few differences from the current SFB which has been around since 2008. For instance, the sole has been changed from the FREE-style sole. Additionally, the upper loses the classic Jungle Boot styling and forgoes the metal lace holes for fabric lace barrels on the top of the foot.

Sneak peek – Adams Ind HDNVG

Wednesday, January 8th, 2014

Here are two pictures taken through night vision on a moonless cloudy night. The one on the left is regular night vision. The one on the right is through Adams Industries HDNVG.

Adams Ind NVGAdams Ind HDNVG

In normal night vision you can see that there’s a car parked in the driveway.

With HDNVG you see:
• Some of the areas you thought were street are actually grass.
• There is a tree behind the car that could provide concealment.
• There is a power pole behind the house.

Oh, and the car’s not parked in a driveway; it’s parked on the grass

Coming to SHOT Show.

High Threat Concealment/Rogue Gunfighter Low Vis Demo Day

Monday, January 6th, 2014

Last October, High Threat Concealment in partnership with Rogue Gunfighter hosted their Low Vis Demo Day at C2 Shooting Center in Virgina Beach, VA. HTC, Rogue Gunfighter, and other companies in the tactical and firearms industries displayed their products. This occurred along the covered range directly behind the main office at C2. We were able to offer coverage of these companies soon after the event in a number of earlier posts, however this made up only half of what was available that day.

The other half of the event was much more hands on. Participants were outfitted and allowed to shoot rifles and pistols out at a couple of the open ranges set up further down the property. It was a great opportunity to get a feel for HTC and Rogue Gunfighter’s gear in action. As you can see from the photos, the HTC crew was also participated at the range themselves.

The High Threat Concealment/Rogue Gunfighter Low Vis Demo Day offered a great opportunity to check out some high quality gear on and off the shooting space. Strong offerings by the participating companies made it a worthwhile event. We look forward to seeing what these companies have to offer in the future.

Breaking – Kevin Brittingham Wins Suit Against FGI

Saturday, December 28th, 2013

Based on this screenshot we received a little while ago it appears that former Advanced Armament Corp front man Kevin Brittingham has prevailed in his lawsuit against Freedom Group who purchased AAC from him in late 2009. Brittingham’s employment with AAC was terminated two years ago, in December 2011 after FGI said that he had violated company policy by bringing personally owned firearms to work. He has maintained that the termination was a ploy by FGI to avoid paying him monies owed.

Tried earlier this year as Random Ventures Inc. et. al v. Advanced Armament Corp LLC et. al, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, No. 12-06792, the suit contains 14 claims and Brittingham wins all of them including his demand for millions of dollars he says are owed by Freedom Group (over 10 Million plus interest). Additionally, this ruling negates his noncompete clause.

Foxnews online has additional info on the case but has not been updated on this judgement from the court.

Introducing the “Dave Royer Internet Rule”

Thursday, December 19th, 2013

From an email received from Larry Vickers:

Gentleman it is my pleasure to formally announce the ‘Dave Royer Internet Rule’ or ‘Royer Rule’ for short;

On any topic, in any blog or forum, on the Internet within the 5 initial posts someone with no personal direct knowledge of the subject matter will interject their unneeded 2 cents

Classic examples of this are as follows;

‘Well I have never been there but…’

‘I don’t own one but…’

‘I have never actually seen one but…’

Please spread this far and wide and feel free to interject where needed – like the famous Godwin’s Law

Trident Concepts Brings Up A Good Point About IWB Holsters

Monday, December 9th, 2013

Trident Concepts frontman Jeff Gonzalez is a great guy and makes some excellent points on his corporate blog. This is one I thought we should share with our readers. I asked Jeff and thankfully he agreed.

We just finished up another great Concealed Carry Tactics class and we saw a lot of inside the waist band holsters that used a “clip” to secure the holster. If you have something that is essential then you are going to want something more secure.

We have seen a fair amount of these holsters slip out during the draw forcing the shooter to strip the holster during the draw stroke. It happens enough times that we take notice of it and try to work to improve their security. If you do run a clip style holster then I strongly suggest you consider practicing a few draw strokes where you purposely set up the holster to slip off your pants forcing you to strip it off. That is the best way to plan for that contingency…actually the best way is to avoid using it altogether, but they are popular.
