We think it will expose our readers to new opinions and perhaps help out the writers so long as we all agree to offer constructive feedback. Notice we didn’t say criticism. Feedback can be positive or negative.

Home Combat Magazine is a web based publication that has an interesting niche. They are looking at this whole prepper/tactical business through the eyes of a family man. It’s easy for most of us to look at the world and what we do in the lone wolf mode, or even as the member of a team of our peers. But it’s something different to begin to take our families into account.

For years you couldn’t comment on SSD. Then, we opened it up, and there are days that we wish we hadn’t, like the ones where we figure out that shills are coming in and decrying the competition. They are here, like a case of bedbugs. So, read the recent comments with a tainted eye. And, for the folks coming in and pretending to be a concerned citizen, we’ve got some advice. Just remember, your behavior isn’t risk free and we record your IP. In case you think it’s ok to come in and spread ill will for gain, take a look at the link.

Why Are “We” Sucked In by Con Artists?

Lord knows every type of business has their fair share of con artists. For us, every trade show, they pop up like bad pennies. iO9 takes a stab at explaining why we fall victim. In our business I think it’s a combination of a desire to be liked; everyone like to be told they are talented, valuable, or what have you. And once sucked in, pride; being too proud to admit we were taken.

If this meme resonates then it’s time we come clean with you. Soldier Systems Daily isn’t written for you. We appreciate you visiting, but please understand that we write stories about the tactical industry for those that insist on performance. Quite frankly, some of the stuff we cover is downright expensive but we’re ok with that.

Inexpensive is fine, but cheap isn’t what we’re shooting for. Please don’t come in and complain about prices for the gear we cover. We don’t care and either do the folks that we actually write for. They understand, it’s the cost of performance. However, if you actually know that something promises a lot but doesn’t deliver, speak up, with facts. We’re all ears.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

So Google Won’t Support ‘Gun’ Businesses?

I’m supposed to be upset because one of my competitors won’t show shopping results for gun related businesses? Seriously? The gun press is getting all worked up about this but it is the best news I’ve had all day!

Hey gun companies, I sell advertising. Also, people who buy guns read my blog and support my advertisers. Take those dollars you were wasting on Google ads and invest them here at SSD.

Who cares if Google wants to play silly games? It’s stuff like this that will make them irrelevant. Gun businesses should support those that write about them, not a bunch of hippies.
