Task Force Dagger Foundation – Dagger Dive 2015

MATBOCK has produced a ‘Whiskey 5’ to explain an upcoming Recreational Therapy Event being held by Task Force Dagger:

1. WHO: Task Force Dagger Foundation

2. WHAT/WHERE/WHEN: Conducts a Recreational Therapy Event in Key West, FL from 16-24 June

3. WHY: TF Dagger sponsors activities that foster a sense of well-being, offer encouragement, and assist the service member’s rehabilitation and recovery from wounds/injuries sustained while serving our country. One of our core beliefs is that if the soldier is injured, the whole family is injured and must heal together. Teamwork is more than being on a Special Forces Team, it is being part of a family that is stronger together. As such, when we conduct an RTE, we bring the whole family and include the whole family in the activities. Our activities include Scuba, 3 Gun shooting events, Outdoor activities such as white water rafting, fishing, sailing, horseback riding, skiing, and snowmobiling.

The hard cost for the event is $115k and they need to secure the money by 8 May for the mission to be a success. Each donor will still get a storyboard for their donation. MATBOCK is asking for everyone to join together and help us make this event a success and give back to these awesome families.

Team 5 Medical Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit Veteran medical foundation with the mission to bring Western medicine and education to overlooked developing countries. Elder Heart: Healing Hearts Through Art

Real World Survivor recently published an article on Elder Heart, a non-profit organization started by US Army Veteran Magnus Johnson. The article details Magnus’ background, as well as the various artistic projects Magnus and others have worked on in support of US Military Veterans, and the charitable efforts by Elder Heart to help Veterans.

Like the regular line of CFF Shemaghs, the US Elite Shemagh is sourced and embroidered in a women-owned factory in Kabul, Afghanistan. Additionally, for each Shemagh sold, Combat Flip Flops and the manufacturer donates funds to put an Afghan woman in secondary school for one day.

Thirty Seconds Out And Spikes K9 Fund – “Commute” Spray Art Piece

Evan of Thirty Seconds Out and Jimmy Hatch of Spikes K9 Fund have partnered up to produce this limited edition spray art piece. Dubbed “Commute”, the piece depicts Jimmy with Spike, his K9, and the rest of their crew in the side door of an MH60 Blackhawk helicopter during operations. It is done on Pro Gallery Canvas with a heavy duty wood frame, measuring 1.5″ X 18″ X 24″. 50% of all profits from the sale of the piece will go to benefit Spikes K9 Fund.

Operation Restored Warrior

Operation Restored Warrior is a 509c non-profit charitable organization dedicated to assisting Veterans dealing with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Combat Related Stress. The organization is managed by Veterans, and its programs are administered in a private facility in Vail, CO.

To raise awareness and funds for ORW, they are having a team of former Military personnel and civilians participating in the upcoming New York City Triathlon on July 19th. They are currently looking for sponsorship for the event, as well as additional willing participants.

Combat Flip Flops Supports Team 5’s Spring 2015 Mission Fixing Cleft Palates In Central America Expedition Overland To Capture The Scene

Later this month, three members representing Team 5 Medical Foundation will embark on the foundation’s next mission—fixing cleft palates, providing basic medical education and medicine to villagers in remote regions of Central America. Eric Linder, Founder of Team 5, Remote Medical Practitioner (RMP) and Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM), along with Keith R., M.D., surgeon and remote medical physician, and Matthew ‘Griff’ Griffin, co-founder of Combat Flip Flops and logistics lead, will begin their journey south, accompanied for part of the mission by the Expedition Overland team.

The highly anticipated Expedition Overland (XO) YouTube series will return in season 2 for a truly epic journey through Central America—one of the most breathtaking and complex areas of the world. The team of seven and their three overland-equipped Toyotas will film throughout eight Central American countries. Once in Guatemala, the crew will meet up with Team 5 as they perform medical procedures in remote villages. The 12-episode series will begin airing in July 2015 on the Expedition Overland YouTube channel; viewers are invited to follow the adventure as it unfolds at xoverland.com beginning April 15.

Team-5 is a small group of former special forces members and hand-selected medical and survival experts who venture into the most extreme and austere locations around the world to educate local healthcare workers, provide remote medicine and donate supplies to developing areas so they can be self sufficient.

Operation Hawkeye – Team 31 Auction

Team HAWKEYE has announced they will be holding the Team 31 Auction over Veteran’s Day week 2015 on Gunbroker.com. Goods, services, and memorabilia will be donated for the auction, from various companies in the tactical and shooting sports industries. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the causes and loved ones of the US Special Forces and Military personnel lost in the Extortion 17 crash in 2011.
