MOHOC Delivers Custom MOHOC ADF Camera to the Australian Defence Force

Monday, September 9th, 2024

MOHOC, Inc., creator of the world’s preeminent tactical helmet cameras, today announced the completed design, development, and delivery of the initial units of the MOHOC® ADF Camera to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The news coincides with this week’s Land Forces Exposition in Melbourne, Australia, where the new camera will be on display.

The product was built to support the ADF initiative to deploy body worn cameras as a tool for training, evidence collection, and after-action review. In less than a year, the MOHOC® ADF was designed from the ground up as a custom camera to meet strict specifications outlined by the Dismounted Combat Program at Army Headquarters.

Made in the USA, the MOHOC® ADF incorporates the best recording features of the original MOHOC® Camera with the improved form factor, weight, and low-light sensitivity of the newer streaming cameras, MOHOC® 2. The company further reports that the ADF custom model is built on the foundation of MOHOC’s next generation camera, expected to launch worldwide in 2025.

Dan Fuhrman, MOHOC Vice President of Product Development, said of the program, “We were honored to support the ADF on an aggressive timeline and provide Australian soldiers our newest technology in a custom camera that aligns with our vision for upcoming MOHOC products.”

Both the development contract and subsequent order were facilitated by MOHOC dealer Spearpoint Solutions & Technology Pty Ltd, whose CEO, Andrew Jiear, added, “The project is a prime example of how Spearpoint’s extensive network of leading international partners can be leveraged to generate tailored solutions for our clients.”

Spearpoint is displaying the MOHOC® ADF Camera this week at Land Forces, stand # A199.

LAND FORCES International Land Defence Exposition Moving to Melbourne

Monday, February 27th, 2023

The LAND FORCES International Land Defence Exposition, Australia’s premier land defence industry event, will move to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) for 2024 and beyond, as the event continues to grow.

Held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in 2021 and 2022, LAND FORCES is the region’s largest land defence exposition, hosting 810 participating exhibitor companies and more than 20,000 trade visits over its three days in October 2022.

LAND FORCES has continued to grow with each presentation, selling out all available exhibition space in 2022 and prompting the move to Melbourne’s MCEC to accommodate growing interest in the planned LAND FORCES 2024. The first MCEC event is set for 11-13 September 2024.

“The MCEC is simply a larger venue, and this is the primary reason for our decision,” said Justin Giddings, Chief Executive Officer of LAND FORCES organiser AMDA Foundation.

“AMDA Foundation’s mission is to promote Australian industry. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s size and world-class facilities will allow us to showcase more Australian and overseas companies and develop exciting new display options.

“Melbourne is renowned as a highly attractive business destination, with excellent international connections, accommodation and amenities. Visitors to LAND FORCES 2024 at the MCEC will be enjoying a world-class event right in the heart of one of the world’s most beautiful cities.”

LAND FORCES incorporates a three-day conference program, international industry exhibition and formal networking functions.

The event provides a platform for engagement between Government, Defence, Army, industry and academia on issues and capability for the Australian Army and the armies of Australia’s international partners. It attracts companies, visitors and official delegations from around the world, creating potential export opportunities for Australian industry.
