Introducing the Wilson Combat Slab Side 5.56 NATO Full Auto Bullet Proof Bolt Carrier

Built in-house on our automated Nakamura CNC machines with the most up-to-date materials and technical specs, these are among the finest AR bolt carrier assemblies available on the market. Like all Wilson Combat accessories under our “Bullet Proof®” service policy, if the product ever fails we will repair or replace it at no cost to you-no strings attached.

The Bullet Proof® bolts are finely machined from 9310 AQ aerospace quality tool steel bar stock, heat-treated to Mil-Spec core hardness with a case hardened surface. 9310 AQ achieves high core strength and maximum toughness for this application. A snug fitting 302 stainless helical one-piece gas ring is used for optimal gas seal and extended service life.

The extractor is fully machined from 4140 bar stock, properly heat treated, stress relieved and phosphate coated for non-slip extraction. The extractor uses an extra power chrome silicon spring with inner buffer and “Crane” O-ring for positive extraction and long service life.

The bolt carrier is precision machined from 8620 tool steel billet and then precisely heat-treated to meet or exceed military specifications.

The gas key, a critical component for reliability is fully machined from 4140 steel, heat-treated, and installed with both high strength, heat resistant sealant, and 170,000PSI screws torqued to 55-58 inch pounds and staked so you never have to worry about the gas key coming loose and causing a malfunction.

These advances in manufacturing and materials have greatly enhanced the reliability, performance, and lifespan of the most critical part of your rifle.

Introducing Dillon Rifle Company

I’ve been waiting for several months now to announce this, but with the NRA Show being cancelled, things slipped to the right. Dillon Rifle Company has just launched their website and revealed the new OPAR Trigger.

DRC is the brain child of Chris Dillon, the president of Dillon Aero. His point man is Brodie Renner who is a retired Navy SEAL. One of his passions has been to create products that offer improvements. You’ll need to read the story on why Brodie worked on the new OPAR Trigger to appreciate what it offers.

The On Patrol AR Trigger is offered in both curved and straight models.

Both are complete assembly pre-stage drop-in triggers and are compatible with AR-15 and HK416 rifles using Mil-Spec 0.154″ pins.

Although the OPAR Pre-Stage trigger is designed to reduce the likelihood of accidental discharges, it is not intended as a rifle’s primary safety. The Pre-Stage trigger requires two separate actions that must be completed in the proper sequence for the trigger to trip the sear. It has a secondary trigger inset in the primary trigger shoe. This secondary trigger moves a trigger block that prevents the sear from disengaging.

Specs:

Free pre-stage pull weight: 1.0 to 1.5 lbs.

Trigger pull weight: 5.0 to 5.5 lbs.

Total work energy to pull trigger without any preliminary loading on the primary trigger:
0.58 ft-lb (0.79 Joules)

Total work energy to pull trigger with 3.5 lbs. loaded on the primary trigger:
169.14 ft-lb (229.32 Joules)

Total work energy to pull trigger with 6.0 lbs. loaded on the primary trigger:
289.60 ft-lb (392.65 Joules)

Additionally, DRC has a new line of very high end shooting accessories. I saw the Range Bucket at Warrior East and fell in love with it.

A heads-up posture also helps users maintain a neutral spine position which is more comfortable while wearing helmets, plate carriers, and other heavy gear.

The FAST™ MRO Mount features a built-in standard height windage-adjustable back up rear iron sight that keep weapons uncluttered, without reducing capability. It also features the FAST™ offset accessory mounting interface.

The gold polish adds more to the ACI BCG than just gun bling; it actually lengthens the life of the TiN nitride BCG by providing additional lubricity while combating friction. ACI’s full auto-profiled AR15/M16 TiN BCG is machined from 8620 alloy, heat-treated, and ultrasonically cleaned. The hard chrome bore is Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coated gold and polished. The PVD coating is a technique by which a solid material is converted into a vapor to coat the subject product. This PVD process condenses the material into a vapor and turns it into a very thin, solid coating covering the piece. The benefits of PVD coating include better resistance to environmental conditions such as corrosion and abrasion and will not wear off or fade out. ACI’s gold-polished BCG is meant to accept the punishment of continuous use in any environment while maintaining optimal performance.

Additionally, the 9310 alloy bolt, machined 4140 Tool steel alloy extractor, 4130 chromoly steel alloy gas key, and 4340 chromoly steel alloy camp pin are all PVD coated and polished for additional lubricity and corrosion resistance.
