Ambitec designs and distributes top-quality tactical gear, security & defense products for end users in a variety of scenarios including military, law enforcement, and private security contractors. Our team of dedicated professionals is expanding as we continue to develop and deliver the most effective solutions on the market.

We are seeking a highly talented and experienced design engineering expert to collaborate on a project to develop an innovative new tactical product. This product will enhance life saving efforts in the armed forces and among first responders. We are excited to work with a motivated designer who has a passion for creation and a commitment to delivering products that offer functionality & performance.

Ambitec’s headquarters are located in South Florida, where our executive team and logistics are based. We have regional sales representatives around the country, as well as remote support personnel. The designer role would be primarily virtual, with potential for occasional visits to HQ and production facilities.

Qualifications:

• You have a Degree in Industrial Design or or Design Engineering
• You have 5+ years hands-on experience designing products, preferably in the tactical gear or outdoor industry
• You have technical and creative skills to pattern and prototype
• You are entrepreneurial and innovative
• You have excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English
• You have excellent time management skills
• You have strong planning and organizational skills
• Former military experience preferred but not required

Ambitec – USAF High-Value Plate Carrier

Constructed of 500D Cordura, this vest was designed specifically for use by USAF Security Forces. The manufacturer commented that it is a lightweight platform stable enough to increase load carriage performance, reduce wearer fatigue, also to stabilize and enhance soft armor inserts.

Features:
• Pockets for applicable sized SAPI, ESAPI, XSAPI plates
• PALS webbing for MOLLE Attachments
• Hydration/Communication Tabs for Routing
• Removable MOLLE Kangaroo Front Flap, holds three 5.56 30rd magazines
• Shoulder pads that cover the entire strap connecting the front and back panels
• Reinforced personnel drag handle on the back panel
• Plate carriers have hook and loop fasteners for name tapes/ranks on the front panel
• Front and Back panels should incorporate padding so plates will not rest directly on individuals in the absence of soft armor.
• Available in ABU pattern (Air Force tiger stripe), Coyote Tan, and Multicam
