DirtMonkey Puts Unbreakable IronLace To The Test

Thursday, April 7th, 2016

It’s been a little while since we last had anything on IronLace on SSD. A recent email from an industry contact about a video featuring IronLace gave us the perfect opportunity for a reintroduction. Said video (above) shows Stanley of NY-based Dirt Monkey University putting the IronLace boot laces through some unconventional paces, including a blowtorch and using the laces as a towing anchor. Obviously, as bootlaces, IronLaces are best used to, well, lace up boots; it certainty is a impressive display of their durability, all the same.

As a reminder, IronLace boot laces are capable of withstanding up to 1600 lbs of tension, are virtually chemical proof, UV ray resistant, water proof, abrasion resistant, and heat resistant up to 630 deg F. Additionally, IronLace’s work with RLCB has led to IronLace boot laces being categorized as a Skillcraft product.

MDM – Learn About Ironlace

Tuesday, September 25th, 2012

A few months ago the owner of Unleashed Tactical Equipment linked me up with the Canadian brand, Ironlace. It’s a bootlace brand. I know it sounds mundane, but broken laces suck. Sure, you can use 550 cord but even they don’t offer these features. In addition to 1600 lbs of tension, Ironlace is virtually chemical proof, UV ray resistant, water proof, abrasion resistant, and heat resistant up to 630 deg F.

They offer laces in 33″, 45″, 54″, 63″, 72″, 84″, 96″, and 108″ in both Black and Brown. However, for military personnel, the 72″ model seems to be the most popular and they are also available in Olive Mojave.

Be sure to see them with Provengo, their exclusive US distributor, in booth #3056. Provengo will not only be giving demo’s but they will also be giving out 100 pairs of Ironlace Olive Mojave 72” boot laces to Devil Dogs attending the event!
