TÝR Group Mjölnir’s are back in stock!

The TÝR Group Mjölnir is a collaboration project between John Hurth of TÝR Group LLC and Spencer Alan Reiter and Scott Chamberlain of SAR Global Tool. All Mjölnirs are individually hand crafted, and no two are exactly the same.

Mjölnir (/?mj?ln??r/ or /?mj?ln?r/ MYOL-n(ee)r); means “crusher”. In Norse mythology, Mjölnir is the hammer of Thor, the Norse god of thunder. Distinctively shaped, Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains.

The TÝR arrow was the symbol of the warrior and was inscribed on warriors weapons to bring them strength, protection and victory in battle. The symbol also represented the values held by choosing the warrior path such as duty, honor, integrity, discipline, responsibility, and self-sacrifice.

SAR Global Tool Tactical Titanium Pocket Comb/Cutter

Friday, August 23rd, 2013

Spencer A Reiter is a retired Army NCO who produces some really cool stuff. He now offers a couple of different comb designs. While I am sure that they were developed to handle his beard, I see that they can be used for a wide variety of applications. The description on the site is simple yet gets the point across. The standard pocket comb with a tungsten carbide enhanced cutting notch. Great for opening packages, cutting cord etc.

TYR GROUP Offers Tracking Items

Sunday, March 17th, 2013

The TYR GROUP (not to be confused with TYR Tactical) specializes in combat tracking training. Their store includes the TYR GROUP T-shirt produced by Mitchell Martin at Gator Graphics, the TYR Group Combat Tracker Blade made by Custom Bladesmith Jeff Crowner, Signed Copies of John Hurth’s book “Combat Tracking Guide” as well as PVC patches made by John McConnell at Combat-Swag. Below is their Combat Tracker badge which reminds me of the old RECONDO badges.

In the future they will be adding other T-shirt designs, Patches as well as custom Knives and survival gear. Also, look for a collaboration with Spencer Alan Reiter of SAR Global Tool.
