SureFire Introduces The Quietest .30 Caliber Suppressor On The Market

Thursday, April 30th, 2015

SOCOM300-SPS-DE_rounds_2

Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-performance illumination tools, suppressors, and tactical products, has begun accepting orders for the latest model in its high-performance line of SOCOM Fast-Attach® sound suppressors. The new SOCOM300-SPS is the quietest suppressor ever built for 300 Black Out (subsonic and supersonic), .308 and 300 Win Mag. This versatile suppressor is also very effective in suppressing the 5.56mm cartridge.

SOCOM300-SPS_762_BK

The SOCOM300-SPS owes its sound-suppressing prowess to highly specialized baffles creating a longer dwell time within the suppressor and achieving unprecedented levels of sound attenuation. The suppressor is constructed of Inconel, an advanced high-temperature alloy, and stainless steel, and it typically adds only 6 inches to the length of a weapon. Computer-controlled welding enhances the suppressor’s overall durability, as does a corrosion-resistant coating of Ionbond DLC and Cerakote™ ceramic finish. In fact, the SOCOM300 SPS, like all SureFire SOCOM Series suppressors, is durable enough for full time use and designed to typically outlast the weapon barrel to which it attaches.

A precision indexing system ensures that the suppressor mounts to a compatible SureFire SOCOM series adapter—which also serves as a high-performance muzzle brake or flash hider when the weapon is unsuppressed—securely and with perfect alignment every time. This patented no-tools Fast-Attach system also makes the suppressor easy to remove after extended firing because the index tab is located in a low-carbon-buildup area. Like all SureFire SOCOM suppressors, the SOCOM300-SPS produces minimal and consistent point-of-impact shift compared with the unsuppressed weapon, regardless of the number of times the suppressor is attached and detached to and from the weapon.

The SOCOM300-SPS suppressor is available in two colors—Black and Dark Earth—and has an MSRP of $1075. It is available for purchase in states that allow suppressor ownership through authorized SureFire suppressor dealers. For complete product information visit: www.surefire.com/socom300-sps-2

SureFire Adds SF Ryder 9 Ti Suppressor To Award-Winning SF Ryder Series

Thursday, April 16th, 2015

Big news today, as SureFire official launches the new SF Ryder 9 Ti suppressor. Building upon the SF Ryder 22-A, the SF Ryder 9 Ti features a titanium body with stainless steel baffles. The full release can be read below:

SF-Ryder9-BK_solo

Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-performance illumination tools, WeaponLights, suppressors, and tactical products is building upon the success of its award-winning SF Ryder 22-A suppressor—awarded “Suppressor of the Year” by Guns & Ammo—by releasing a battle-ready version for 9mm pistols and rifles. The new SF Ryder 9-Ti—“Ti” standing for titanium—features an ultra-light titanium tube, front plate, and rear plate that help minimize the suppressor’s overall weight without any sacrifice in strength.

The 9mm SF Ryder 9 Ti—like the .22 suppressor upon which it is based—features pig-nose baffles that provide superior sound attenuation and reduced muzzle blast by precisely directing gasses from fired rounds. This ingenious baffle design—in this case built from durable, heat-treated stainless steel—also makes cleaning the suppressor a simple process. Built-in spacers help reduce carbon buildup between the baffles and the suppressor tube, and every baffle is indexed and individually numbered for foolproof disassembly and reassembly—made even easier by an included assembly/disassembly tool.

Along with use of high-grade titanium in its construction, the 9.5-ounce Ryder 9Ti reduces weight through a clever outer tube design that features rounded edges and fluting, which also makes it easier to get an accurate sight picture with the suppressor attached. The thread-on suppressor securely attaches via single-point cut threads available in either 1Ž2×28 or M13.5×1 thread sizes. Attaching the suppressor is simply a matter of screwing it on to a compatibly threaded 9mm barrel until hand tight.

Ryder9-Ti-BK_2

Built to exacting standards and unrelenting quality like SureFire’s battle-proven Fast-Attach® SOCOM suppressors, the Ryder 9Ti is designed for recreational shooting and tactical applications. Its titanium and stainless steel construction, precision threading, and a tough, attractive Cerakote™ finish available in three colors—black, dark earth, and wolf gray—make it ideal for most any application. MSRP is $799, and the suppressor is available for purchase through authorized SureFire suppressor dealers.

SureFire Blast Diffuser Is Now Called The Warden

Sunday, April 12th, 2015

During SHOT Show, SureFire debuted a product called the Blast Diffuser. Although it looks like a miniature suppressor, it isn’t. Now called the “Warden” it adapts (via the SureFire Quick Attach mechanism) to SF SOCOM muzzle brake / suppressor adapters and pushes the concussion of the muzzle brake forward, away from the shooter and those next to him.

NRAAM 2015 – SureFire 300 SPS

Friday, April 10th, 2015

The SF Ryder 300 SPS (Special Purpose Suppressor) comes in two types: there’s a Fast Attach variant which is the same as the SOCOM cans as well the Genesis Direct Thread model. It’s the quietest suppressor that SureFire has ever built and incorporates a completely new baffle design with a very steep ‘V’ rather than their traditional cup design. But, unlike the Ryder 9 & 22, you cannot take these apart.

The 300 SPS can be used with .308, .300 and .223.

Coming Summer.
