I’m planning on buying FR gear for under my bunker gear sometime this year.
Only used FR on deployment, expensive and not durable for training.
I use the FR-ACU-P in OCP (MultiCam) everyday here in RC-East. The ACU is not very durable, but the Massif Army Combat Shirt (ACS) is. If only we could get the winter version in OCP and issued. Hell, we can’t get replacement ACSs if we wanted to. Come to thing about it, the most common sizes of our uniform trousers are constantly on back order. Oh well, sucks to be us!
Yup, I use it. It’s issued to me.
Only my nomex flight gloves
As a civvie, I am not upgrading my field kit to FR…but if I was, Massif would be one of the company’s whose products I would lend serious consideration…they do FR well.
Yes, gloves and hood.
Not very often as I don’t usually require it
all the time! Coverall, gloves and balaclava.
Only when deployed!
Yes, coverall, gloves and balaclava.
Depends if I need it or not. If I do, gloves and coveralls
When outside the wire overseas
Have it, hope to never need it.
Never used it.
Yes but only when deployed
I haven’t needed it’s benefits, but i do try to choose FR products, yes.
I use it when deployed. (driving boats is like convoy in a convertable) and in the winter, make a decent warming layer I reckon.
yes, but only when required, such as shooting FA or Armor.
I have not at this point, but it seems like a hell of a good start!
Every time I go to work. So YES I use FR.
When deployed for sure
No.
I have never used it as I don’t need it in my line of work…
Waiting to get issued some!
yes for certain things like base layers and glove and headgear.
Yes, I use FR clothing, (coveralls, gloves, hardhat liners, etc.), EVERYDAY at work. Actually, nights, as I work 7pm to 7am 😉
I work in the oilpatch.
Thank you for the contests!
Later….
YEs! Keeps you warm!
Yes I am a 12M (Firefighter)
Yes and no. Depends on what I’m issued…
I use it!
Yes. I’ve seen the secondary burns from polyester and nylon clothing.
I have Nomex gear that has been very useful in the past, but FR is not the first thing I look for in a purchase.
I do becouse army says I have to
Not yet.
FR-Yes, absolutely. A mixture of Drifire, Massif, multicam FROG from Propper, and a bit of old-school heavy weight NOMEX.
FR – I do use it
Sorry damn ipad, I fixed my email address
i do, merino wool is the way to go for wicking baselayers
Only for my gloves.
Absolutley. I love my MASSIF gear.
Not yet, but am thinking about i!
Only for Base layer. Yes, I am aware that probably doesn’t makes sense.
I use FR gloves when working as a cop, and other FR gear when deployed with my guard unit.
