I have some FR and use FR, and honestly can say it has helped to keep me from being burned before.

I wear loads of FR clothing. I am a welder and I like how well the tactical stuff keeps me cool while giving me better range of motion without risking flammability due to synthetic blends. I’d love more, but the cost usually makes new clothes purchases few and far between.
If only the industrial clothing had the same design sensibilities as the tactical garment industry, life would be a lot better.
