During last week’s Warrior West we were introduced to Klim Tactical and their new Vigilant FR motorcyclist suit. In this short video, Peter Jensen offers a short introduction to the brand.
There was a lot of new kit at Warrior West but this is certainly something that stuck out.

Looks like some good gear. I love their choice of aircraft in the background, the good ‘ole F-4 Phantom!
Sharp looking gear, and on a side note: these days the word “operator” = “tactical mall ninja”. So, use wisely.
He’s an actual “Operator”
Yes, I understand that, but when the word operator is used throughout the video I doubt it is in reference to those who have passed the Operator Training Course, the only group that can legitimately call themselves Operators. I stand corrected if the target market is only for Army special forces.
Klim makes some of the best (and most expensive) moto gear that money can buy. Looking forward to seeing this in person.
Indeed! I ride Dual Sport throughout the west and Baja riding in the KLIM Badlands Pro jacket and pants. Also own the Traverse J&P as well as Dakar and Mojave pants. All good/quality product, expensive and made in Viet Nam!
KLIM was recently sold to Polaris, thus, the driving force to enter the tactical market.,
I’m not sponsored or receive compensation from KLIM. They simply design and ensure quality construction of their product. Further GovX promotes a lot of KLIM product.
Hey guys,
Thanks for the discussion, it is important to hear what you think. Here are a few notes to share. The jacket and tactical line discussions began between Justin Summers and myself before the Polaris acquisition. Behind the scenes the benefits are quite welcome. The Vigilant jacket and pant were designed for Operators (not necessarily motorcycle riders) who are not going to a target but must be in bad weather all day with their kit on. The jacket will allow access to kit (front back and side) if a fight comes to the Operator. When we say Operator it is used with the highest respect and honor and we/I specifically mean those who have made the cut through OTC. My background is not the focus, however you can contact those who know me and we can accept what they say. The crusade is to protect our brothers and anything short of that is not of interest. Please keep the comments coming and in the spirit of a good friend, “We welcome ruthless self assessment”. Let us know… we really do give a crap. Thank you, really. Pete
This looks very interesting. I hope this leads to a tactical / law enforcement line of clothing and gear specifically for ohv and snowmobile use. As a federal natural resource officer I can say that it would be nice to have some one offer clothing that meets the needs of law enforcement right out of the box without extensive modification.
