Massif Clearance Sale

As you may recall, Massif was recently purchased. I have heard they are in the process of preparing some new products. They’ve also placed several items (both FR and non-FR) on clearance at really great prices.

…and you crashed the Massif site. It appears the closest we’ll get is the screenshot you uploaded. ^_^

  2. Mike says:

Yup. Been tryin to access with PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad with no luck…

Worked! Took a few tries. Between this and the First Spear MOLLE sale you cost me over $300! Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. FHRITP says:

    Wow $420 for a shirt.

    $99 now. Imagine that.

    • SSD says:

They just came out of bankruptcy. Since you’re the expert, explain how that might impact pricing on these items.

    • mike says:

$420 for a jacket, not shirt, that can breath in cold snowy weather and keeps you warm without making you damp or burn out isn’t out of line. Add to that the fact that it’s FR by virtue of the materials, not a treatment that’s going to come off, and the price tag makes perfect sense. I’m sure there are plenty of jackets that do less and cost less that would work fine for you since you don’t need something that’s FR.

I was issued the Massif softshells for use. They are second to none – the LWOL is the best stand-alone military softshell I’ve ever used, including the PCU and ECWCS setups.

Too bad they don’t ship to APOs. Kind of surprising.

    • mike says:

APOs and FPOs are nightmares for shippers. Once they leave you they are gone; no tracking. Too easy for them to get lost/stolen or for the recipient to claim they didn’t get them. I can see why a company trying to liquidate would state no APO/FPO. If you really wanted it you could order it to a stateside address and have someone re-ship.

I just jumped on the Elements jacket. Looks promising to wear under my external patrol vest this winter. 100 bux? I’ll take that bet. ๐Ÿ™‚

I pulled the trigger on the lightweight combat jacket a few weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. Stitching and workmanship is excellent– right up there with my older TAD stuff. Their customer service is also superb– got an email response within a few hours of sending out my initial email.

FR stuff has a distinctive “smell” to it and hopefully it’ll diminish once I get some wear and laundry time into it.

Massif does ship to APO/FPO addresses, their website just doesn’t accept the address. You just have to call them or send them an email to customerservice@massif.com
