For The Ladies – Adidas Camo Windbreaker

M30311_01

The Adidas Camo windbreaker is a full-zip windbreaker made from 100% polyester taffeta. It features a hood with drawcord-adjustment, side pockets with snap-button closure, elastic cuffs, and a drawcord on the hem. It comes in Adidas’ own ‘Multicolor’, which has more than a passing resemblance to Flecktarn, for those of you who are into German camouflage.

Ladies here in Europe wear a lot of vintage Flecktarn. Its kind of “in” now, mainly the “Feldjacke” and the “Feldbluse”

Twelve years ago I made a shit ton of money with German Army parkas, all the posh-snob guys in Madrid wanted one for the “I visited Berlin” trend that days XD

Wow – its like the German Flecktarn and the new Dutch NFP got together and had a baby….

    • Ipkiss says:

Netherlands & German getting together and make babies? Nah..

“Between 1985 and 1987 a version of the German Bundeswehr flecktarn pattern camouflage was tested by the Dutch Armed Forces (first by 350 men of the 13th Armored Infantry Brigade, and later apparently by the Royal Dutch Marines). The test uniform, labeled PSU-80 was a fairly complete ensemble, but was only produced in small numbers and never adopted. This may have been for political reasons (such as the design’s resemblance to WW2 German SS camouflage designs, or for other reasons entirely.”

Yeah I know about that – the Belgian Air Force Commandos also wore Flecktarn for a period of time too.

        • SSD says:

I think the entire Belgian Air Force was in it. I remember maintenance guys wearing it as well.

Nevertheless, I just might be sewing 3 large stripes to each arm when I finally get my NFP in 2000-something..Got to stay classy
