Orion Design Group – ARC Overview Video

In the above video, Bryan from Orion Design Group goes over the features of the Advanced Reconnaissance Chest Rig. We posted an article of the ARC back in January, so you can refer to that post for the full details, however, in brief, the ARC is a five-piece modular chest rig developed by Orion Design Group in collaboration with S&S Precision, and manufactured by Grey Ghost Gear. The ARC is centered around an optics pouch, capable of holding upwards of a large framed 10x binoculars, along with some small Thermal Imaging Devices. This pouch is accompanied by the yoke, side panels, and a small roll top minimalist pack.

Very sharp design… the scalable / modularity is fantastic… nice job, did you ever consider Molly Stixs instead of zippers? just a thought

I’m sure cav scouts will be all over this.

Lmao. Yeah it looks pretty tough to go prone with that thing… perfect for dirty legs in vehicles.

      • ODG says:

Airborne, Thanks for the post I know in the video it may look a little bulky but we tested the shit out of this thing it was two years in development and we hunted the prototypes all season last year and definitely did a lot of crawling, it works fine and the pouch is padded so it protects your optics and is comfortable to rest your chest on while in the prone.

ODG are a great group to work with. I wish them luck with this project.

    • ODG says:

Thanks man but you know damn well this project wouldn’t have happened with out the skill and professionalism of the grey ghost/tac tailor team. My sincere thanks for your support my friend!

Brian and Kelsey are great and solid dudes. I’m really happy to see this gaining traction.

Right on Brian & Kelsey! Let me know when the pre-order is up and I’m in for one. Digging the thought that went into this and the modularity. Very smart!

    • ODG says:

Justin gear is up on the site. Unfortunately we didn’t get good sync between the time the video was ready and when our web master updated the site with product, so video went up late. You of all people know about those kind of issues. Go to the Beast page and fire away! Thanks for support Bro!

This is all kinds of cool for LE. For stakeouts and surveillance will in vehicles we need to carry optics, digital recorders, notebooks, cuff cutters and such way more than we need 8 M4 mags My BFG 10 speed chest rig carries maybe one mag, the rest is cuffs, gloves, anti-skell hand sanitizer and such.

    • ODG says:

Bill, thanks for the post! I totally love the end user feed back! I would have never thought about this product being used in that role, Glad we could accidentally build a solid piece of kit for LEO use as well!
