Winter’s coming. I’ve had a pair of these new FR Assault Gloves for a couple of months now. While they aren’t a full on winter glove, they are great for weapon handling and other tasks that require dexterity. I’ve long been a fan of the Bird’s ergonomic glove patterning. One feature I really like is the touch screen friendly fingertips because I hate having to take gloves off and put them back on, over amd over again, each time I need to use a mobile device.
Made from Tencate’s 10 oz Defender-M interlock fabric along with goat leather for FR. The gloves also incorporate utility loops for stowage and a cut off option for the index finger.

I am curious how this glove compares to the PIG (FTD-ALPHA) touch glove.
Well, first off the FTD-Alpha isn’t FR. Second, the ARC’TERYX glove is heavier construction.
Thank you. My question was about construction and dexterity. I should have been more specific in my comment/question. The PIG and the Assault glove are both touted as being good for dexterity. I am curious how each of these gloves compare in performing tasks that require greater dexterity.
I am guessing at least 5x the cost.
Sure, but you’re not comparing apples to apples. I happen to like them both.
How does this orange compare to an apple
Again? Was the comment on FR and beefier construction somehow too technical?
I was being sarcastic. I feel a lot of times people just don’t get that you can’t compare 2 products just because they fall under the same category. It’s like comparing a Honda Civic to Ford F150
Sorry…
How’s the sizing? I’ve been waiting for a sale to buy a pair, sizing chart tells me medium, curious how accurate that may be.
They seem true to size to me. I wear a large.
I was lucky enough to get an early pre-release of this glove and it has lasted 3x longer than other tactical gloves. I spoke to the designer and a lot of thought has gone into the product just like all of their products. Worth the price, especially considering the durability and the dexterity that you get with the glove.
