Hmm…instead of “designed for the professional shooter THAT is looking…”, how about they try “designed for the professional shooter WHO is looking…”.
Nothing like significant grammar errors to taint a company’s press release right from the outset. I can get over it, but it can still leave the seed of doubt in the mind of the purchase decision maker – “hmm..what else are they getting wrong?”
Does this magwell work with factory base plates?
That magwell looks pretty nice, not too absurdly flared out. Unrelated note, looks like they’ve moved the absolute co-witness behind the RMR, SSD’s had it in front of the RMR.
That rear sight is actually a part of the optic, the relatively new Leupold DeltaPoint Pro.
That’s not an RMR, but the new Leupold Delta Point(?) with a built in buis.
Correct
They can do either, front or rear of the optic.
Unfortunately, these don’t look like they are compatible with the Gen 4 back straps in place. 🙁
It could be. Looks like they’re including two different length screws.
Read the whole article as it is compatible with both
Is a magwell really needed for a double stack single feed magazine. Isn’t the taper at the top of the magazine actually a magwell in reverse.
You could do that with pretty much every firearms advancement. Sure, you could live without it, but if it’s there, why not use it?
Maybe because it’s really not needed.
Like 30 round magazines…
Seriously, am I the only one who wants confirmation if factory base plates work with these? Zev please advise.
Nope, Its been a bit since this was written and I still can’t find out if they fit. Ugh.
