POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jan. 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Point Blank Enterprises (“PBE”), the worldwide leader in the production of soft body armor and related protective solutions, will be demonstrating its newest innovations in tactical and concealable ballistic packages, carrier designs and accessory tools at the 2016 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) taking place January 19-22 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We’re very excited to highlight our growing assortment of advanced products for all customers and end-markets at this year’s SHOT Show,” stated Michael Foreman, Executive Vice President of International Business Development, Federal Sales and Marketing at Point Blank Enterprises. “We have made tremendous strides with our offerings, creating new business units focused on innovation and forging strategic partnerships to leverage new and emerging technology channels that enhance our ability to provide the highest-performing personal safety solutions to our end-users – whether they be the law enforcement officer, federal agent, or sport hunter.”

Among the latest NIJ 0101.06 certified offerings to be showcased at PBE’s booth (#11366):

Revolutionary ballistic packages provide unprecedented comfort

AXBIIIA (Alpha Elite™ Black): An enhancement to the previous Alpha Elite model and the world’s lightest-weight Level IIIA package at .79 psf. It is 17% lighter than the original Alpha Elite with the same high level of protection. It is available in both male and female versions.

FLXIIIA-1: Weighing 1.04 psf, this advanced ballistics model is 10% lighter than the previous FLX package, providing the same performance capabilities with no increase in costs.

BCIIIA: This new low cost alternative offers a reasonable weight at 1.25 psf and delivers high performance protection.

New tactical carriers offer cutting-edge scalability, flexibility and mobility

ARMIS: Offers a new, innovative approach to body armor design. This highly scalable, side-opening carrier allows tactical units the flexibility to configure the body armor system to meet mission-specific needs. It includes the capability to release the complete vest in one quick motion, select the specific level of protection needed, while enhancing mobility, agility and substantially improved range of motion for the operator.

Federal LE Plate Carrier: Is creatively designed to provide unmatched comfort, protection and flexibility to meet the needs of every mission. Through the addition of an adjustable cummerbund and optional side plate pouches for hard armor plates, the Federal LE Plate Carrier is the operator’s choice for today’s missions. It is available with accessories as a complete tactical system.

Two-In-One Plate Carrier: Delivers the instant solution when a threat situation escalates and more than one operator needs hard armor protection. This cutting-edge plate carrier features front and back plate pockets for NIJ Level III or IV hard armor plates. Within a matter of seconds, a second operator can quickly remove the rear plate panel and don the plate carrier for immediate ballistic protection.

First Spear with PBE ballistic solutions: Advanced tactical systems from First Spear and PBE are designed to deliver state-of-the-art protection and enhanced light-weight load carriage.

Innovative concealable carriers deliver ultra-covertness

Executive: Offers an exceptional low profile fit for the executive and operator requiring a covert vest, and is ultra-lightweight. The “T-shirt Carrier” design has been enhanced to eliminate the edges of the vest from being visible, offering the ultimate in an ultra-covert carrier. It features a left and right side front zipper for easy donning/doffing and is made of stretch fabric for comfortable wear.

PBE’s concealable carrier family of products, including Elite, Vision® and Hi-Lite have also been enhanced for 2016 with features that deliver even greater benefits for law enforcement officers, including Dri-Lex® technology which wicks moisture away from the body up to six times faster than other fabrics.

Latest accessory solutions support growing private security and hunting markets

Executive Ballistic Briefcase: Instantly converts from a lightweight, discreet briefcase to a fold-out ballistic shield with additional “special threats” protection (by inserting SPEED plates in the plate pockets). Within seconds, this convertible product can provide instant protective coverage against fragmentation and bullets. It’s ideally suited for dignitary protection details, private security and other high threat environments, and goes beyond traditional ballistic blankets by offering instant adaptability with maximum functionality in one, easy to deploy system.

Weapon Carry System: A one of a kind, totally hands free long gun carry system that creates little to no pressure points. Whether hiking, hunting, or sport shooting, or whatever the task is required, the Weapon Carry System is a one stop solution for weapon retention and hunter safety. It is available for purchase at www.pbhunting.com.

Intelligence Retrievable Incident System (IRIS CAM): Designed to meet the growing demand for law enforcement agencies to provide a visual and audio record of officers’ interactions with the public. The body-worn camera offers multiple capabilities for storage to meet all law enforcement agency requirements.

Foreman continued, “Our PBE team looks forward to demonstrating the latest engineering, design and system advancements which address the needs that matter most to the marketplace. SHOT Show is an ideal forum to preview our 2016 line-up of solutions and meet with many of our key customers and partners to share insights on industry developments and trends. We can’t wait!”

17% lighter than last year’s 3A is damn impressive for soft armor that was already crazy light, but would they just perfect their tactical vests rather than introduce a new package every year. The Armis, as revolutionary as the marketing speak makes it sound, looks more of the same.
