SHOT Show – Industry Day At The Range – IWI X95

DSC07020

The X95 is essentially an upgraded, more compact version of the popular Tavor TAR-21 bullpup rifle. The X95 features a tri-rail forend covered by three removable rail covers, the bottom most of which incorporates an integrated hand stop. The trigger guard and grip is a singular piece, which can be removed via a single screw, and replaced with a more traditional pistol grip. The charging handle is located closer to the shooter’s center mass, and features a more pronounced hook for easier manipulation. The X95 also utilizes an ambidextrous magazine release more in line with an AR-style weapon that the original Tavor.

The X95 will be available in 5.56, .300 BLK, and 9mm, along with conversion kits for all listed caliber. Colors: Black, Flat Dark Earth, and OD Green.

How are they with spare parts? A buddy in my unit loved his tavor but inability to get simple spare parts motivated him to unload it and get an AR. A nice AR!

Most common wear components (extractors, extractor springs, firing pins) along with whole barrel assemblies with the head-spaced bolt are available for the classic Tavor through IWI US. In other words, no different from most other firearms with the exception of the AR which is available from most retailers and dealers.
