Do the batteries just sit end to end? That looks like a recipe for shorting them out or slowly running them down do to lead contact, especially if even a tiny amount of moisture gets in the case.

  2. The moisture would have to be conductive and significant enough to create a conductive path all the way from the top battery to the bottom, assuming you have them stacked +/-,+/-. If you really think thats a possibility, you can also reverse the middle battery’s orientation relative to the top and bottom. Still fits fine.

Thanks for the clkarifaction! I guess I actually am more leary of battery performance than anything. I have more than a few different brands short when a little damp – my lighting gear usually end up wet in the alpine after a few hours on mixed climbing and ski routes. I am always looking for something that can be a reliable back up storage system, especially if I can store multiple batteries in a more efficient way than in double or triple bagged alok sacks.
