I think the market is rather saturated with 380s. Honestly this looks just like 8 other 380 pistols (hyperbole). I wish Remington would focus on fixing the R51 and bringing something to market that isn’t a rehash of a 80 year old design (I say right after mentioning the R51). I understand the risk of a new development but the industry is to clogged with similar designs. As a consumer I’m left ask “and?”.

    • Texas-Roll-Over says:

R51 is still being worked on and will be released when testing is completed. Remington learned a hard lesson, one that they are trying not to repeat.

Actually those 8 other 380s look like the Rohrbaugh which this is a copy of. What was once old is new again.

Thanks Maryland for your “permission” to dictate what I can use for self-defense. Way to go! Not like I would research the subject, test fire weapons, or anything of that sort. Noooo! (rolls eyes so hard, sprains neck)

It’s worse in CA with a series of stupid and arbitrary rules to make it on our roster including the inclusion of a non-existent technology aka micro stamping. Then if you make any sort of changes to the gun, including things to make them safer, you have to jump through the hoops all over again and get it re-certified.
