GORE EXHIBITS HIGH-PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS FOR MILITARY AND DEFENSE APPLICATIONS AT 2016 AUSA

ELKTON, MD, September 21, 2016 — Showcasing the functionality of ePTFE technology, W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. (Gore) will be featuring products from both GORE® Military Fabrics and GORE® Cables and Materials at 2016 AUSA, October 3-5, Washington, D.C., Booth 2733.

Gore offers technical solutions for military personnel and the aircraft and ground vehicles that protect them. The unique properties of ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) coupled with Gore’s innovation make products such as GORE-TEX® Fabric and high data rate cables industry-leading technologies.

Gore will be featuring the following GORE® Military Fabrics technologies: GORE® Katana Fabric — durably fast drying, comfortable, mechanically-strong fabrics for hot and humid environments; and Stretch GORE-TEX® Fabric — the only flexible-fit WWB (waterproof / windproof / breathable) military jacket available.

The GORE® Military Fabrics group will also be introducing its new blog at news.goremilitary.com — developed to be an informational and technical resource for the military textile market.

Ah, so the PTFE isn’t in membrane form in the Katana fabric. Now it does make a bit more sense. I am curious to how it is more air permeable than normal NYCO, I’d take a swing saying it’s because the PTFE yarns are perforated..
