IWA – H&K Solicits IWA Attendee Feedback for Next Commercial Rifle Project

H&K has employed pollsters to query IWA attendees in their booth on which rifle project they should undertake next.

Attendees are shown prospective rifles in wood or gray composite stocks and asked to questions about which they would prefer H&K to introduce in the future. Additional options include Carbon Fiber furniture as well as wuations about Picatinny rails and sight systems.  The weapons are all semi-auto and are based on previous designs such as the MR308 and G3. No word on when, or if, the decision will be made to offer one or more of these prospective designs.

IT’S A TRAP!!! They are going to refuse to build whatever consumers like. Don’t fall for it.

    “Vorauseilender Gehorsam”?
Is this meant to prepare for any further restrictions on EU and German level for us civilians?

Just wondering isn´t a Repetierer the same as a bolt-action rifle?

      Yes, it is.
Whole new territory for HK, isn’t it?
      “LS” likely stands for “Lochschaft”

HK re-released the SP89. Release a pistol full MP5 and more HK91s and we’ll call it good.

Screw M14s, screw FALs. HKs forever. The 417/762 is nice but that old 91 was just a joy.

I like that grey one based on the G3, though not a fan of the thumb-hole stock, if they make it so you can remove the stock and use normal g3 stocks, I’d be looking to pick one up.

I just want a modernized SL7, pic rail, G3 mags, ergonmic thumb safety.

I know this is about HK but I would really like to see Benelli bring the MR1 back for sale here in the states. You would think it would do well in the ban states as well as for those who don’t want a AR or AK platform. FightLite is having a hard time keeping up with orders, would be nice to see more competition. Saying that, I think HK could do well to make a featureless semi-auto.

  8. Ranger Rick says:

Whatever they produce will be overpriced for what it is.

  9. mike says:

Whatever they do, I sure hope they don’t bring back the SL7. It was too well engineered and unnecessary for the commercial market. Under no circumstances should they ever bring back the SL7. No one would know what to do with it. I’m pretty sure there’s absolutely no demand whatsoever for a new SL7. Or for that matter, a new SL6 with 1/7 rifling and a Pic rail scope mount, that takes AR magazines.

    None whatsoever. Nope.

  10. Terry says:

A civvy version of the MP7 would be good.
